About AIOPulse
Measuring how AI assistants recommend brands in Japanese
AIOPulse is a monitoring service built and run by Marketing Cloud Lab in Tokyo, Japan. It asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude brand-neutral questions in Japanese every day and records which brands their answers mention.
Who we are
AIOPulse was released in 2026 by Marketing Cloud Lab, a small business based in Tokyo. Since March 2026 it has recorded answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude to Japanese questions across industries.
The main site, the dashboard and the public industry rankings are in Japanese, at aiopulse.jp. This English site is for companies and agencies outside Japan that want to know how AI assistants present their brand to Japanese users.
How we measure
Brand-neutral questions
Questions never name the brand being measured. A brand counts only when the AI brings it up by itself.
0% means 0%
If no answer mentions a brand, its mention share is 0% and we show 0%. We do not adjust questions to make a number look better.
Comparable over time
The question set stays fixed. When a question or a model changes, the dashboard graphs mark the date, so a jump caused by the change is not mistaken for a trend.
Every number has its answers
Each answer is kept with its date, model and question, so any mention share can be traced back to the answers it came from.

What we do not measure
- Answers given in English, or in any language other than Japanese
- What the ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude consumer apps show (we ask each provider's API)
- Google AI Overviews
Public data
AIOPulse publishes AI recommendation rankings for 56 industry categories in Japan, covering at least 250 brands. ChatGPT and Gemini answers are collected every 2 days (at 06:00 JST), and Claude answers through a separate route, in principle every day. The rankings are free to read, in Japanese, at aiopulse.jp/rankings.
